The Government’s Skills Bootcamps are part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, created to help people gain valuable skills for work in high-demand sectors. Funded through local Combined Authorities, they give technicians the chance to upskill into the electric vehicle industry — with costs covered for eligible learners.

 

EV high-voltage training courses are designed for technicians to learn how to safely work on the high-voltage systems of electric and hybrid vehicles. These courses cover the dangers of high voltage, safety protocols, and practical skills like isolating systems and testing for voltage. They are offered at different levels (e.g., Levels 2, 3, and 4) and combine classroom theory with hands-on workshops to ensure technicians can perform maintenance and repairs safely.
